Born and raised in Southwest Georgia, Mary Beth Hobby attended the University of Georgia. While at the UGA she was selected as to be a UGA ambassador in The Arch Society and also chosen to intern with Congressman Nathan Deal in Washington, D.C.
After graduating from the University of Georgia with two degrees in Broadcast News and Political Science, Mary Beth became a television news producer at WTVM-TV in Columbus, Georgia where she produced the 6pm and 11pm news, the top ranked news shows in the market. While at WTVM-TV, Mary Beth produced the first live, on -site telethon for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway and helped break the fundraising record for the previous years.
Her love of the creative development and writing led her to her existing career in Marketing. While at Langstaff Marketing, Mary Beth has worked with the South Georgia Wildcats to create corporate employee nights for Palmyra Medical Centers, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, etc. In addition, she produced and coordinated the Annual Wildcats Military Appreciation Night.
In addition to the Wildcats, Mary Beth serves as the marketing director for The Pointe, a new non-traditional church in Albany, Ga. The Pointe has seen tremendous growth and topped 500 attendees in the first year of service to become the fastest growing Purpose Driven Life Church in the US.
Currently, Mary Beth’s client list includes The South Georgia Wildcats, The Pointe, Berg Eye Group, South Georgia Peanuts, and OB-GYN and Associates at the Veranda.
Mary Beth’s commitment to her community extends into her volunteer experience. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mary Beth is also passionate about the Georgia 4-H club, where she was a lead camp counselor at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Georgia 4-H Counselor Alumni Association.
